What is the best over the counter stop smoking aid?

Categorized: stop smoking aids | 5 comments

I’ve been smoking for almost 3 years, and whenever I go without a cigarette I go crazy from withdrawals. This is why I don’t think I could do it without an aid. What is the best one I can buy without a prescription?

Zyban is an antidepressant – it’s not really going to help with withdrawals. Generic name is Bupropion and other trade name Wellbutrin. And not only do you have to pay for the doctor’s visit, you have to pay for the prescription. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bupropion

In January I found this site that reviews prescription and natural stop smoking aids: http://stopsmoking.net/aids.html There are lots of great tips! Natural stop smoking aids contain herbs that help with the withdrawal and cravings.

Pay for a visit to the cheapest walk in clinic and get a Zyban prescription. You’ll spend the equivalent in over the counters that don’t work. Two weeks of Zyban and you should be able to quit. That is if you want to for yourself.

To my knowledge, there is no known good over the counter remedies. I quit smoking cold turkey and I was smoking 3 packs of cigarettes a day. If I can do it, anyone can. Plus I could not afford it now.
Don’t give up hope. I quit June 20, 1980 at 7:20 AM and have not had a cigarette to my lips since. Good luck and PLEASE PLEASE QUIT. Everything tastes d

Whichever method you do try to join a couple online support groups (for quitting smoking.) All of my online friends who have quit swear by using them… and they are the ones who stayed committed the longest/are succesful.

People I know in person that have used Zyban love it. (But you have to actually want to quit. You can’t be doing it because you feel obligated to.)

    Best of luck!
